Thank you for your interest in the 2022 MSU AgeAlive Research Forum! This event included a dynamic keynote presentation by Paula Cunningham, State Director – AARP Michigan, and former President of Lansing Community College, and an “Aging Research Gems” panel presentation. The panel featured MSU faculty and students who are conducting research on a wide range of thought provoking, unique, topics from the basic sciences of geriatric medicine and nursing to college student caregivers and public health. Stimulating discussions also were held about the pillars of successful aging and Age Friendly Universities and the steps MSU is taking to create robust Lifelong Learning opportunities to fulfill the International Age Friendly University criteria.
A variety of community agency resource tables were available onsite with information on volunteer opportunities. A link is provided below with more information. Additionally, participants were treated to a video performance from the Prime Time Ukulele Strummers and the opportunity to explore the Zahrah Resh Butterfly Garden Installation.
