Special Direct Care Worker (DCW) Mobile Unit Training

The Mobile Training Unit (MTU) is a 45.5-foot retrofitted truck designed to simulate a home-like environment for training purposes. It includes equipment like a hospital bed and a large bathroom to help practice daily living and safety skills. The MTU addresses the growing demand for long-term, home- and community-based care by providing hands-on training for direct care workers. Unlike traditional skill labs that are tied to specific professions and locations, the MTU offers flexible, interdisciplinary training focused on real-world home care settings.
