Senior Ambassadors

The Senior Ambassador Program is a pilot public health program that has the primary goal of providing mutually beneficial social networks between seniors living in the City of East Lansing and undergraduate students attending Michigan State University.

Through this program, our aim is to facilitate positive interactions that reduce feelings of loneliness, enrich the lives of seniors and students by providing opportunities to socialize with a population they may not otherwise encounter on a deep, intellectual level, and provide valuable life-long social skills.

This program is a collaboration between AgeAlive, Prime Time Seniors Program and the Social Science Scholars Program at Michigan State University. We appreciate the support of the College of Osteopathic Medicine and the MSU WorkLife Office. We thank the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services / Aging and Adult Services Agency for their grant support.
