MSU AgeAlive is pleased to announce that the following four awards will be presented at the virtual 2024 AgeAlive Awards Ceremony on December 5th, from 4-5 pm via Zoom. Nominations are now open.
Two Research in Aging Awards will be presented to MSU faculty members or teams for leadership in aging-related research that adds significant value to lifelong wellbeing through a body of rigorous, innovative scholarship. One award will be for a faculty member conducting clinical or basic science research, and the other for research in the social sciences or humanities and arts. Aging-related research includes research specific to older adults, topics and conditions experienced predominantly among older adults, and aging through the lifespan.
The Intergenerational Award will be presented to an MSU faculty member, administrator, alumnus, student, retiree, or team who demonstrates leadership in education, teaching, or activities involving cross-generational experiences that contribute to positive aging throughout the lifespan.
The AgeAlive 2024 Legacy Award is given in honor of an older adult who has a long and outstanding history of service to others that improves quality of life and wellbeing for individuals and society.
Nominations for three of the awards, the Research in Aging and Intergenerational Awards, may be made by MSU faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, students, retirees, or community members.
