Nov. 21 Town & Gown with Dr. Charles Keith
The Town & Gown Series continues on Friday, Nov. 21. We will welcome Charles Keith Ph.D., professor of History at Michigan State University, who will lead an engaging discussion titled, “MSU and Vietnam: New Thoughts on an Old Story.”
We all now know MSU’s history in Vietnam —or do we? We told one story about MSU’s involvement as it unfolded. We told a very different story about it as the tragedy of the Vietnam War consumed America. Today, 50 years after the war’s end, should our new knowledge and perspectives on that conflict lead us to once again rethink MSU’s relationship to the Vietnam War?
The upcoming Town & Gown series will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Robertson Room at The Peoples Church in East Lansing. The series is open to all.
